Give Melissa the key to the big tractor, she can move the brush, stumps and logs with the grapple while you move to the next stump with the excavator. When was the last time you "washed" the dirt off a machine with a leaf blower?

Dreams of a shale pit, and piloting an excavator that makes you king of the jungle took Mike to a different level. I know our man has to be really tired, but the raise in voice inflection, and the pure glee was enough for an incontinence commercial! ..The precision of your work is really second to none.

Wood? I'm always looking for slabed Wood. It cost so much for good hard wood around Dallas. Cherry, walnut, red oak, white oak pecan. If you have hard woods make sure that you are cutting them thick enough for furniture makers. Sometimes slabing a stump might be a good idea too. A stump slab in epoxy can look awesome

Would dropping the stumps on the logs remove more dirt then dropping them on the ground? I would think the ground absorbs a lot of the force from the drop. Nice video.

I know nothing about excavators; when you turn the cab to the back of the excavator doesn't the panel know you are facing backward and you just push the controls forward or do you need to remember you are facing backward and push back on the controls move the excavator the direction you want it to go?????

When you rent equipment, you do the work for that machine ASAP. You can always go back with the stuff you own to finish the job later after you return the rental. Yes, you are doing it twice, but you are saving a ton of money on the rental.

Would it make sense to hook the dump trailer up and have it do stand by to haul firewood timbers to the recycle yard? Even if you made two moves? And then stack like you did with neighbor Cliffs and deal as you go in the fall? Just thinking out loud to maximize time.

I like how you drop the stumps to get rid of the dirt. Usually you see people shake them off. I can see by dropping them makes it less stressful on the machine then shaking them. I would try to transplants those evergreen trees since you already have the excavator there. Keep up the great work!
The Potterer
The Potterer 3 ай мурун
Before you attempt to burn those stumps you want to put a minimum of two cuts at right angles to each other and as deep as you can go across the top.
The Potterer
The Potterer 2 ай мурун
@Jim Pikul It's always a good idea to put cuts in stumps but if you can find an area out in the open where the stumps can sit for a couple of years, the whole process becomes easier still.
Jim Pikul

The Potterer

@Jim Pikul It will allow the heat and fire deeper and quicker into the centre of the stump, apart from one, all of those stumps are green and you're going to want all the help you can get.

you could always power wash the dirt off the stumps (besides your in coal country and precious stone have been known to be trapped in tree roots). read a story in readers digest about a kid kicking a dirtball that hax just fell out of a coal truck in kentucky. kid kicked the dirt ball and out came a ruby the size of a walnut.

I was thinking the same thing watching you run that machine how smooth it operates and how far the construction industry has come in such a short time. Not only does that Kubota run smooth it looks smooth. I love the rounded corners and basically the design, it actually has some eye catching design aspects like a sports car might have. Super cool piece of equipment. *Keep on tractoring!*
