Hey Morgans ! I've been watching you for several weeks now. I can't believe it took me this long to find you. Great content. We live in Toms River NJ , By the Bay, we have chickens that supply our neighbors and us with lots of eggs. We also burn wood and thats how i found Mike . I was searching for ways to become more effeciant in wood splitting. Thank You! Growing up in a small town in Tioga county PA watching you all brings me some great peace and a warm heart . ,God Bless and keep the videos rolling! ❤️

That sure is dry dirt ? Is it always like that in you're part of country If you dig a trench off to one side It will burn lots better because it will act l like stove pipe sucking in air at bottom of pit pulling in cool air forcing it burning hotter I forgot put old pipe in trench

I did the same thing when the new Tractor Supply opened had a really big sale on its $270 original price I will say it was below $200 I watched You trying to get the grease gun free of the Zirt fittings I hated that I bought the LOCK-N-LUBE grease gun tip to make it much easier to remove the grease gun from the fitting Others on KGpost openly sponsor them ( for free, unknown ) Ken

Always enjoy watching someone that knows how to work the machines. Now get you a 10-12 foot section of 10 inch drill casing, get a couple of foot long bits of rebar or steel rod welded to it so you can nail it into the ground as a tractor stop for the edge of the pit.

I call mine a burn pit, been burning strong without issue for 29 years now, is not a full pit per se, the edge of the yard is the front of the pit, and it opens up as the hillside drops, started out almost 9 feet deep, and is roughly 25 feet wide, and tapers up to 15 feet front to back.

On rainy days, I like to burn my brush piles. Less chance of catching my woods on fire and makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something. Hahaha. Wish I had a place to dig a burn hole where I live, but everything is on a rocky hill here. Only suggestion, instead of a berm, place a 8 to 10 inch log in front of you burn hole. I have been doing this around my driveway and helps with the erosion and gives us a piece of mind during the winter months.

Mike, I miss the intro's, outros, I know it was prob a pain, one thing for sure, you convinced me to rent an excavator if I ever have any serious digging to do, you did more work with that in a few mins than a handful of strong men with shovels could do in a week.
Morgan Adair
Morgan Adair 2 ай мурун
Need that lock an lube fitting to make it a good one handed operation. I see some serious practise and it shows good hand and eye operation. Nice follow contour and make it smooth.. plus your bucket sweep or jib sweep it getting sweet. Never know when that will save the day when working near a building or other related no room for errors. I do believe that the speed of said will be running real smooth... I'd rather work a machine that a job is a shovel handle. ... a no. 2 shovel handle.

You need a forced air outlet in the bottom of that thing. It will make a huge difference getting oxygen to the bottom of that fire.

I love the DeWalt color scheme, black & yellow. Nature's warning colors. Like yellow jackets, bees and such. Reminds you to be careful. My dad used to work for a McCulloch chainsaw distributor. Yellow & black chainsaws. One day, the local, one screen movie theater called him direct. They asked him did they want to rent a space for a table in their long, downward sloping pre-lobby. He asked what was the name of the movie that would be playing. They told him "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." He said "Forget it." and he hung up. LOL. I watched that movie 30 years later. No yellow chainsaws, it seems, but the movie was very psychologically upsetting. Once the main character lady starts screaming, she never stops, all the way to the end of the movie. Maybe yellow chainsaws would have warned her, earlier? Love Morgan videos.

Have you though of heating you new play room/ shop. You should look into one of the wood boiler that use wood. Boiler would be outside. You put in wood in and burns all day. You heat water and run it into an air handler. Will heat your room for free. Good luck like the show. Steve Claytor. West Chester, Ohio

Really needed a piece of 12 inch or larger steel pipe buried into one end of the hole with a gas powered blower (squirrel cage fan) feeding oxygen into the bottom of the pit. Burns much quicker and cleaner.
hollandduck79 2 ай мурун
Hello . I think you should have put a perforated pipe on the bottom and through the back of the well so that the fire could draw in oxygen . then you get a better ignition . just like when you use a life blower with a brush fire . otherwise, watch Captain Cleeman's videos . kind regards Hollandduck from the Netherlands ( bron of translate : Google translate )

You made my day with this video Mike. There are no woodchucks down here in South Alabama. I began woodchuck hunting in NY when I was 12. I'm 74 now. Began using a 22. Kept upgrading until I got out of the Army in '69 and got a Browning heavy barreled 22-250 with Leopold scope. Seeing that 'chuck was great as it brought back memories. As a percentage, how much time do ya think it took to move the camera while making the video today?

You have 100 acres to park those stumps out of site and mr ground hog could use them for habitat. I have stumps piled up and one year a black bear used them to den up for the winter. My father taught me that when you live in the country, it is necessary to live with nature and not fight with it. He also said to plant more trees than you cut and you are never too old to plant trees. I do get it it Motor Mike, but just wonder why you have not learned the lesson yet.

Alan Trott
Alan Trott 2 ай мурун
Why don't you put a log in front of that pit?
Mrpaint06 2 ай мурун
Instead of a dirt berm to keep you from going too close to the pit you could just set a log across where you would build the dirt berm and stake it at both ends to keep it from rolling in. That way you have a hard stop when you're too close to the edge. Anyway, something you've probably already thought about. Thanks for the videos!

That is part of my everyday job. Every service I do on equipment, it gets greased. But my gun is an industrial air powered gun. Runs off a 120 lb keg of grease (16 gallon), and 120 lbs of air pressure. Clean the fittings before and after. Saves you lots of wear and tear on both the fittings and the grease gun fitting.
