Today I used the Kubota MX 5400 with the Top Dog Firewood Bucket to sort out roots, worked well. Also used the Kubota KX-080 Excavator to Grub Build Site for the new Hobby Garage!

Grew up on a farm. Folks bought 40 acres we converted from timber to crop. Cut down trees. Dynamited stumps. Burned brush and roots. Picked up roots and sticks, put on hayrack. Burned brush and roots. Bulldozed. Burned brush and roots. Plowed land. Picked up brush and roots, burned. Surveyed land. Terraced land w/ bulldozer. Worked like dogs all summer. Called it the "Brush 40." Next year farmed the timber soil. Good crop only when you fert the dickens out of it. ENJOYED WATCHING YOU DO THIS WORK WITH MACHINERY, MIKE!! GREAT JOB.

that is funny. My middle daughter was like that with grass. you could put her on a blanket and did not have to worry about her wandering off. as soon as she touched the grass she would back right on to the blanket. she is 21 years old now and still does not like the feel of grass. love watching the equipment. you are a damn good operator. Thank you for sharing your passions.

Did you ever get "dizzy" running that excavator? Good job on running that thing! And when are you putting a match to your burn pit? I burned a lot of brush yesterday and then got lucky with a 4 inch plus rainstorm! No worries about the fire getting away from me or flaring up during the night!

@Outdoors With The Morgans I can for sure see that happening. You run that excavator like a champ! I hope the weather continues to go your way. We had just shy of five inches of rain last night with a LOT of localized flooding. EMTs were running all over the place doing water rescues. Homes were flooded and highways closed. Take care friend, and HAVE A DAY!

I live within 2 miles of that race track you mentioned, every time they set off a charge, it shook the heck out of my place, especially when they were putting in the tunnel from parking lot to the track itself. It wouldn't bother me a bit if that place went belly up and shut down completely, the noise during a race is horrible not to mention the traffic congestion when a race was scheduled.

I have a friend that is an Iron Worker and they only do massive jobs, 6 months or more. He bought a travel trailer and he goes and parks it and just stays. He isn't married and his son is grown. His trailer and Dodge 2500 Diesel paid for themselves without the driving and fuel. The truck really has low miles on it. I know back in the masonry business I slept in the truck with my dad driving to work and on lunch when I was an invincible teen! I'm only about 6 months older than you and feel like I have seen and done a hundred years stuff! lol Have you seen Chris's new bucket with the lets dig logo on it? Next outro is Mike Crying and Melissa cuddling him, telling Mike it will be alright. Repeat of Tye. So Mike, you still do any shooting on the job? Nephew was a 12B in the Army. Combat Engineer. With his limited knowledge, they blew up abandoned caches of unexploded ordinance. He was not certified EOD or to dismantle explosives. Me, I had a couple of days instruction at Ft Bliss about booby traps with explosives and how to safely dispose of them. We were not the Bomb disposal like The Hurt Locker, No suit and helmet with fans or AC to keep you cool. Most items we came across was homemade explosive devices, pipe bombs and improvised bobby traps/triggering devices. Tie det cord around the trees and set that off. Dig up the stumps.

Mike , check out the universal skid steer plate 1/2” with the tubular welded hitch , like on your truck , you can put a over/under 2” / 2 5/16” ball , use your Kubota tractor , allows you to save your truck from any damage and with tractor/ plate you can place any trailer into the tightest of spots on the work areas , most times your on your tractor anyway , plates about $200 delivered , eBay a little more already to work with tube welded already , i use mine with the Wacker wl 30/32 to put my different trailers be hind my warehouse , nice because your facing them trailer versus using mirrors , just a thought enjoying the videos

Trying to catchup on videos, we have been without power since Tuesday afternoon and still don`t have power back on ,all from a tropical storm hitting Ct .internet and phones went down Wednesday, came back today Saturday, power might be on for Sunday or Monday. With a wholehouse generator running off gasoline, is like living in a motel at $55 a day but in your house with all conveniences. All cell phone service went down and since telephones are on the internet , no way to communicate in emergencies, people don`t realize how fragile the infrastructure is, until its gone.. Keep up the videos, very entertaining to see things come together.

Hi Mike and Melissa & family. In our area in Maryland, the area of ground disturbance has sediment and erosion requirements as part of the permitting requirements. Does Pa. have such? Like silt fence and runoff containment? Just asking could be a non requirement in your locale. I could tell from many videos you are no stranger to running power equipment! Good luck with your project enjoying them daily!
