Great work Hunter! Love seeing him working his chores and contributing. I know that my own autistic son takes a lot of pride in these things, and I see that in Hunter, too. I have to say, I was watching some cheesy HGTV "home remodeling" show with my wife today (she gets the remote, not me) and I was thinking I could sure use a TV series with your family going about their daily activities. You have a lot on the plate, I can tell. Wishful thinking. You guys all bring me laughter in this crazy time. Thanks for that. Cheers.

Long story but around 30 years ago i had to go to the laundry mat and while there i met a young man/boy who was nonverbal autistic. He was peeking around the machines at me waving then he said Hello out loud, his mother was amazed because that was the first word she had heard spoken from him. Fast forward 30 years i had to go the the laundry mat again and low and behold it was the little boy i had seen so many years ago. This time he was zipping all over the place talking to everyone in the place. So i went over and introduced myself to the mother and asked her if she had remembered that day and she said absolutely do. I kind of chuckled and said funny we meet again after all these years because our wash machines broke down at the same time. She smiled and said i sold my machine almost 30 years ago and only use the laundry mat since the day my son talked to you. I felt honored and have to admit it brought a lump to my throat.

Any video with Hunter not only gets a thumbs up, but a second watch. My grandma had a home for special needs kids who grew up into adults and took care of her in her last year. Sweet, loving, innocent, and not a prejudice or angry bone in his body. SO much that this world needs can be taught by Hunter, he is a gift from God, to enlighten us into where our hearts should be.

Beautiful walnut. I like cherry too. I may have mentioned it before. I was a Shop teacher for 33 yrs. I enjoyed Drafting classes the most but wood working ran a close second. I just sold some timber off my old farm. The logger was telling me he had trouble getting buyers for cherry but walnut still has a strong market. The cherry brings decent price when he has a buyer. LOL. He said he gets them to buy the cherry before he’ll let them have the walnut. Hunter was looking good today... Say Hi to him for me...

One of the guys I work with had a huge walnut tree in his side yard. He hated it because he was always cleaning up the grass from all the crap it dropped. One day a few weeks ago a guy stopped and asked him if he wanted to sell it, long story short the guy came in and cut it down measured everything up and returned with a cashiers cheque for $28,000 Canadian. My buddy said he always knew walnut was worth something but was blown away with what he got. Looks like Hunter threw the old spit ball at ya Mike with his BK choice, that a boy Hunter

Mike and or Melissa, I know there is a ton of comments, so I do hope you see this. It is hard to pick a favorite part of one of your videos, dirt work, felling trees, the old days of stacking split wood perfectly for super long run, etc. But this video, the part were The Hunt Man was pouring the WW fluid warmed my heart! He was sooo focused! I absolutely loved it, and put a huge smile on my face! Thank you both!

Mike, how many blades do you go through when you mill with your portable saw mill? Looking at getting myself one, just trying to decide on which size or type I might need. I love wood working and would rather cut my own lumber instead of buying from local lumber yards, and have to ask which one would you prefer if you had a difference or same the choice of saw mill(s)?

Oh my!! Never use soap and water!! Think about this; Soap and water is caustic and not a great lubricator. Soap and water causes rust and metal corrosion on blades, bearings, other exposed parts. Using it will GREATLY shorten bearing life for sure. Using it will corrode other metal parts and may cause premature failure of band blades. I use a 50/50 solution of kerosene and chainsaw oil. It gives a lubricant which does not cause rust, a coolant, and does not shorten the life of bearings. Chain saw lube and kerosene don't rot your band tires, or belts either. www.norwoodsawmills.com/forum/norwood-equipment-forum/mixture

I was looking at houses in Tennessee and there was a guy who made kind of a recreation area barn shop/play room like you’re doing. He set up an area that was kind of like a soda fountain/bar and on the wall behind it he used boards from all the different kinds of trees he took down on the property and he had oats, two or three different kinds and Poplar and Pine and Hickory and a couple others it was a big variety but on that wall which was kind of the backsplash for the soda fountain he just clearcoated the word and add one plank of each kind showing the differences and all the woods and they all came off the property so it was kind of cool, it looked a little abstract but it was really nice to see all those different words in their natural colors and it had sort of a significance and history was coming off of that property. But something like that or building a chest or cabinet or something like that with all the different woods from your property just to kind of show them off for what they are would be a pretty cool idea.

At first, I did not see the period between "... fast one. Sawing ..." in the title. I had assumed Hunter had not only run the sawmill, but also was moving dirt with the Kubota. But I don't believe his condition allows him to. Some tools on the property are dangerous to use. I, too am glad to hear of Hunter getting to help with other chores. I am sure they have many safe things that he can help with.

Hey Mike , just a word from the wise. Show your wife the affection she needs or someone else might. The other day when mellisa was leaving by herself looking really nice in her jeep and neither of you said I love you when she shut the door to the jeep. At that moment I thought wow a really attractive women in a really sharp jeep going somewhere. I'm sure mellisa is very faithful and would never go down the road of infidelity but so so many women and men do and I like all of your subs would hate that to ever happen. Yesterday's video you said mellisa your getting quite cuddly or something like that and I thought immediately you should have grabbed and hugged her and said I love you honey. Its like shes wanting that from you but knows its just not you and thats sad. You truly need to realise what you have in mellisa . And I dont mean to put you down in anyway mike.your a great guy with so much ability and knowledge about so much but learning to balance what you have with mellisa with what you do around the homestead is so important . Yes trips to get ice cream or whatever is fun. I'm talking about giving her the attention she deserves as your wonderful wife. Shes amazing and hard to find. There's nothing she wont do with or for you.very hard to find . Maybe it goes both ways .I dont know I'm just going on what I see and feel as you two mingle and do things around your land. ...maybe its just not wanting to show public affection.alot of guys are like that. Alot of guys aren't on KGpost with there attractive wife also.so maybe its just that and your just not wanting to display it to the world. Who knows , oh you do 😁. Ok enough of the beat down. Sorry just been noticing little things along the way and had to ask. Just hoping all is good between yall and strong as ever but I do have to say I can imagine the in ground pool will add alot to your relationship since it is so badly wanted and deserved by mellisa. And your going to look awesome in your speedos mike 😀 Stay safe and happy ..✌
Steve Mac
Steve Mac 2 ай мурун
Daniel Djr inappropriate and frankly an arrogant comment, based on your 10-20 minute KGpost window into someone’s life? Not so wise as you profess to be in my opinion. I would rarely comment on something like this, but the level of impropriety is striking.
