Making good use of rented Bobcat T740 Skid Loader and Kubota KX 080 Excavator. This afternoon we worked on the future patio area of our hobby garage, we moved the existing fence, stripped some topsoil and hauled in more shale!

Two questions 1. Why did you rent the skid loader? Wouldn't you big tractor do the samething as the skid loader? 2. Did you bonk that pretty wife of yours in the head when she was hooking up the strap for you?

I rented a excavator doing work on my property in Randolph, UT and I must say you need a skill to run that machine the way you do. You make it work so seamlessly, working the joy sticks takes a lot to get use too and to remember which way to make the bucket pickup or dump and the arm to go up or down with the right joy stick, the left joy stick makes arm go out or in. I watched all of the videos with the excavator and I tried to operate the one I rented like you do and I really had a hard time but after 5 hours I did everything I needed to do and it looks great. Your videos taught me how to operate the excavator. Thank you so much and it was fun

Hmmm...thinking Hannah should be the one taking the truck up to get gas? We used to borrow dad's truck a lot and he'd never allow us to pay for the use in anyway. So we just stopped giving him a heads up that we needed it and would just show up. If he had no plans, we'd use the truck and no matter how much gas was in it when we took it, we always returned it with a full tank. But being he's a few weeks away from 93, he no longer drives or has a truck. lol

Nice work Mikey. Your so damn good with all that machinery. I'm guessing you may be about to do a washing/cleaning of the excavator video. I want to see how perty yall make it after all that work you've done with it a n d all the dust storms you made with it I'm thinking it will probably clean up well and look pretty close to shine new again except the tracks and the bucket and thumb. Clean the floor board in the cab and shine it all up again. Good job for mellisa and the gals to tackle . Ok im waiting impatiently 😂🤣😂🤣😅 And that little Hannah is a typical youngen.uses the truck and gas and doesn't replenish it. Oh my lord what are we going to do with this last couple generations. Oh and im with you Mike on the trying to make ourselves happy or smile🙄 .I will be whatever I am at any given time. I'm not forcing anything . I might get hemroids if I force to much 😉😂🤣🤣😅😂 Ok get that crew in theee and build that garagedominium and be sure to film as much as you can if they allow you to. And if they say no video call president trump he can get it done for you. 😁😆😅

No more philosophizing Melissa, you were about to go into a Gandhi moment there over a strap! ;o) Mike your shale will be gone before they set 1 Sono tube. You better stay in the machine night and day and dig shale till it has to go back. Those tractors can get the dirt back in the holes no problem. I don't know if you have one of those propane burners but they make quick work of hornets and yellow jackets. starting fluid and brake cleaner kill them instantly too. That 27 ft hornet foam got me stung twice in the same hand! Hana, buy some gas this aint no charity here! You all should all be set now! Hunter you are in charge! lol :o)

You'll have to get rid of those yellow jackets. They're not docile like a honeybee or bumblebee, but very aggressive and will go out of their way to sting you. Get a can of hornet|/wasp spray that goes at least 10 feet so you don't need to get too close. And after dusk when most have returned to the hive. One application should do it, but two is better.

In an earlier video, you compared loading the dump trailer with topsoil using a front end loader on your tractor versus the excavator back hoe. The excavator won by a large margin. In this video, you chose to use a track bobcat to load the trailer with topsoil. We are using an IH farm tractor to load mulch into dump trailers for delivery. What we should take into consideration to decide if we should change our approach?

Mike - thought on the first load of the trailer with the Bobcat - there was a screech as you raised the bucket. Might be a dry joint! Suggest on new stuff go over everything and grease and grease and oil. Keep the tracks tensioned to their spec - loose ones come off. Working good and doing well there. Abated breath for the building.

Yellow jackets are nothing to mess with. My youngest sister found out not to mess with them when we were kids I was 5 she was 4 I said to her you don't want to do that too late. She saw this hole in the ground and found some pebbles and started putting them down the hole, about 30 yellow jackets attacked her screaming and crying. A valuable life's experience. As much soil you move that is mixed with roots and rocks, you might want to look into rotary trommels for cleaning and sorting.
