Our travels take us to Glacier National Park today! There was some smoke and haze but that can't hide the beauty of Glacier. Just a beautiful place to be. We saw mountains, Cliffs, Rivers, Lakes, Giant Cedar Trees and a Grizzly Bear!

I use to drive big trucks out of Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington all across I 90/94. Been up to Browning and Great Falls many time, Kalispell and Missoula, Billings. While Big trucks are not allowed within the park, I would sometime rent a car just to drive that area. With a big truck would take hwy 200 out of Bonner(Missoula) and head up to Great falls. That is a nice trip too. But when it is on fire not fun at all.

Yes, Glacier National Park is my favorite NP. I have been traveling since 2011 in my motor home and have stayed at least one night in each state of the lower 48. I love our beautiful country!

I have not been to Glacier or Yellowstone NPs but I have been to Yosemite, Sequoia, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, Zion, and the Great Smoky Mountain NPs. In August and September of 2002 I took a road trip, by my self, and drove almost 7,000 miles in 32 days. From our home in St John Parish, La to Abilene, TX, Tucson, San Diego, up to Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Bonneville Salt Flats, Salt Lake City, Lake Mead, Grand Canyon, Phoenix, Tucson, Deming NM, Gila Cliff Dwellings, Abilene, TX, then headed home. There were lots of side trips off the interstate. I only used the interstate system to get to places I wanted to see. On my first stop in Abilene I bought a book that was about things to see off the interstate system. It was a very good investment. While I was in the Air Force I travel all over the world. If I could fill the gap between The Philippines and Tehran, Iran I could say I have been around the whole world. My wife and I traveled a lot in the lower 48 and a little bit in SE Canada. The two places we visited the most are Destin, FL and the Smoky Mountains. I liked the beaches in Destin better than any others I have been to including Hawaii. And I was able to check out most of the beaches on Oahu, the island Honolulu is on.

Mike & Melissa - There certainly is a fair amount of smoke in the air - not like the clear, pristine images I remember from living in Colorado. Glacier National Park does look beautiful, and I'm adding it to my bucket list. Blessings to you both, and to your family. Hi to Hunter, Hannah, and Eva.

Glacier NP is my favorite park! I have spent a total of 4 weeks, in 4 visits, exploring there. Glacier is definitely a must-see! Plan at least 4 or 5 days. And also go to Waterton NP Canada, the neighbor park, if you can.

Hello Melissa and Mike, yes the scenery is lovely out west. I want to ask you about Hunter, you know of course that Dr. Gupta witnessed people being cured with Marijuana or the correct name, Cannabis. People do not need to smoke Cannabis, the plant is compressed into a paste and an M.D. will diagnose and prescribe an amount that he thinks would be good for him. I believe that Hunter could become verbal in a few short months, If he is having seizures they will stop almost immediately, Right now you are in an area of the U.S. that has weed legalized. There was a child called Charlotte that was having

When I saw the thumbnail I knew exactly where you guys were. When I heard Mike say you are planning to make a return trip to Glacier I was glad. With clear skies the views are amazing, breathtaking. Please be sure to go back during a more normal year. I have traveled from Ohio and visited Glacier 16 times over the years, first in 1981, last in 2017. Many Glacier and Swiftcurrent Lake are a less visited but just as beautiful area of the park. In 2000 we traveled through the Bitterroot Valley in southwestern Montana the first day the highway was open to the public after massive wildfires in that region. Stayed at a campground there that technically had not reopened yet. Sad to see all that devastation firsthand then. I enjoy your channel very much. I have property in Athens County, Ohio very similar to your property in species. My property does not get nearly the tender loving care that yours does though. I am not as geared up as you all. Enjoy the remainder of your vacation.

Nice spot it is on my list of places to see. Too bad the smoke interfered with the pics but the beauty showed through despite the smoke. Miss Lynn and I had the same trouble on our Great American Eclipse Adventure back in 2017, The west coast fires were bad then too. Since this was Mikes vote for prettiest place I thought I would share what I think is the prettiest place in the world. I guarantee Mike will love the trees. roaddogs.com/border2border/4-22-15/b2b-day10.htm Love your videos, I start each day with them.

It certainly is beautiful up there! When we were on deputation we stayed in a church in Kalispell for about 3 weeks total...his church is just off the side of the highway and looks like one took a giant can and cut it in half lengthwise then placed the two halves next to one another... There was 2 feet or more snow on the ground. Great trip we had out there! Enjoy!

Unbelievable beauty in glacier NP. Just stunning views . I was wondering as I was watching you drive through the mountains if you would run into a grizzly or other animals . And you seen a grizzly froma. Distance. Still counts though especially because he was checking off tourists as they drove through. That human looks tasty and that one looks chewy.😁😅🤣 I want to get in my rover and head out to glacier NP and check out the views for myself . But i will just live through yall and your trip for now. Thanks for sharing .

Crater Lake usually closes mid September. About ten years ago we were there on the last open day. Only saw about six other vehicles that day. We and strangers in another vehicle were hop scotching one another driving around the rim and stopping at various overlooks. We talked a lot at the stops, gave each other our contact info and we still communicate to this day. They live in Michigan, we live in Ohio. I'm thinking it might be fairly smoky around Crater Lake right now.

We went as far west as Spokane, Wash. Then followed US-2 to Kalispell where Dad had a friend. Except for Glacier, we followed US-2 east all the way to the Straits of Mackinaw and from there to Elkhart, Ind. where I grew up.
