Mike & Melissa - Thanks for the update and another great video. The trip through the hundred acre wood is always a treat. I'm a bit concerned about your bringing two lines together on that downside corner of the building. You have a lot of area on the two sides of that roof dumping water into the downspouts. I'm concerned that 4" line isn't going to be able to handle all the water and it's going to back up to where the downspouts connect. Am guessing if you have problems, it will be a simple task to separate the lines and go again. Blessings to you both, and to your family. Hi to Hunter (good looking t-shirt sir), Hannah, and Eva.

Oak, as with most trees, vary the number of acorns they produce. Years in which they produce a large amount are called 'Mast Years' and occur about every 4-5 years or so but its not regular. It doesn't seem linked to climate and there is some evidence it's linked to pollination conditions but the best guess is that its an evolutionary dispersal method. Occasionally producing more will ensure squirrels bury them but don't retrieve them. That benefits the oak but doesn't allow the squirrel to evolve a volume coping mechanism. We don't know any more than that. Love your videos.

Mike I was reminded of the Barn my father had built for the Ranch, it took the contractor 27 years to build it yes 27 years, why that long, well my father loved things Huge, the barn holds at onetime 285,000 head of cattle and 16,000 head of horses, Your m8nd is going how big is this barn, 10.5 million square feet and is all concrete floor, I have seen as many as 63 cattle trucks in the barn at onetime loading and unloading livestock, Now as far as me and my father we were night and day, there was no love there not once in my life and I mean not once did he ever say he was proud of me or he ever loved me, he told my mother I was in his way, So when he died, I didnt go to his funeral, there was no love lost between us, I guess thats what makes me the man Iam today I try the best I can to help and love everyone, that I meet, for I have learned in my life, that a friendship with just about everyone is very important to me, now there are some people that you just cant touch, they back away and almost bolt to get away from you, I figure that they have never felt love or had a friend that cared for them, so I just let them go, naybe oneday when they see who I am and what I do, they will let me in, b uh t I will never chase them, I had a few friends out in Oregon, that saw when we saw each other it was a hand and shake and a great big hug nice to see you again, nothing in this world feels better that that, it makes you relaxed, I have brought that to my friends in Montana and Wyoming, and my bestfriend at the ranch asked me Who got you started on that, I told him a trucker friend he hadn't seen each other in years, we shook hands and then he brought me into a huge hug, I felt the love of our old friendship, we always had been friends, but this made it even better, he explained that his biker buddies always give hand shakes then big hugs and a slap on the back and its great to see you again, so thats where it started for me, so sharing a hand shake and a hug is bad, then great I will always be bad aint it great, so give a hand shake and a hug and see the difference in can make

Your getting very old Mike you better get automatic garage door opens with remotes . Don't want to hurt your back raising and lowering those big doors. Ones with LEd lights that come on when its opened. Wouldn't be a bad idea to install those skylights in your roof also to let in sunlight for more natutal light and to help heat it when the suns out.. LOL Oh and don't forget to hang a big crystal ball dead center of the building from the rafters and have spot lights on it for big parties or receptions when your daughters get married. And you can start your own Bingo night in the building to help pay for the building and make money for future fireworks shows. All kinds of possibilities for the new garage-dominium LOL. OK ENOUGH SILLINESS. GOODNIGHT MORGANS AND ON A LEASH DOGS 🐕

Hi Steward and Bonnie Campbell - I haven't run gutters and downspouts on our 40x60 yet, and I've been shocked the amount of rain coming off of that roof. Also - when the snow slides off the steel roof, it's so powerful I'd be afraid it would rip the gutters off!

"She's a keeper" LOL! I wholeheartedly agree, this is the best time of year. If I could have my druthers I would have 10 months of Fall, 1 of Summer and Winter in December :) We don't have any acorns or that any leaves in my yard or around us, its mostly pine, balsam and fir trees. The down side of that there isn't the pretty colors around our house.

Acorns. Having spent my last 11 years of employment working on a 9,000 acre ecological reserve, there was a theory. Most of our trees were either engelmann oaks or coast live. The theory was, the oaks "knew" when a particularly wet rainy season approaching. As such, they'd over produce acorns, resulting in heavy acorn dropping. The thought being, this was the tree's way of ensuring it's species survival with new growths. Now, I don't know if that's true, but mother nature is pretty smart 🙂 Thanks for such a nice video.

In the year and a half that I have followed this channel, I have witnessed Hunter's smile grow more vibrantly, and his confidence and composure increase. He was a young man who wanted NO part of the camera, and now it appears that he truly enjoys it, and is reinforced by his position and contribution to a cohesive, loving family when he sees the videos he is in. Not knowing Melissa, or Mike, I immediately encouraged them to "mainstream" Hunter; not to shelter him, but to challenge him, and push him to hone his attributes and relish in his growth. I can't imagine any other family who has given more love, or opportunity to anybody in the Autistic community. They (entire family) have done an incredible job of filling his life with safe opportunities for him to grow with pride. There is very little that is easy in that relationship; especially considering their schedules. The vast majority of subscribers have thoroughly embraced Hunter, and are tickled to see him beam, and be aggressive vocalizing. He humbles me, centers my life for the day, and moves my soul when I see him happy. ..My point is that I am very offended, and agitated to hear Mike and Melissa mention negative responses to Hunter's latest "Review" video . That lack of depth, and cheapness may be better served on a more self-absorbed forum. Any family with a special needs child would definitely have a level of trepidation (out of protection) in how much exposure they give him, or her. 'Think twice before you attempt to punish this family for loving their child. That is one of the main reasons most of us follow them!

Mike, here in SC, the colors are starting to look nice. We have white oaks around the edge of the lawn, 1 acer, today I hauled away 3 contractor wheelbarrow loads of nuts! The hickory nuts will be done on Monday, the deer and squirrels will love having them in one spot so they won’t have to hunt for them. My lawn mower blades will hold their edge a little longer.

Hi just a thought about your down pipes, here in the Uk in the rural areas for rain water we us sokeways just a little away from the building dig a deep squire hole 2 o 3 yards and fill with clean 3/4 grave, and pipe in to it, you then membrane the top and do your finish and that will take all the water the pipe gives the size can be increased to suit your needs but it will save you doing miles of pipe laying ,
